Get To Know Me:
Hi there! I am Allysha Jindal and I have been in the health and wellness field for 10 years. I have been closely linked to mind-body wellness throughout my career in roles such as a kinesiologist, behavioural health coach, health and wellness consultant, and a yoga teacher. I am genuinely passionate about supporting others through life challenges, with a real desire to help people feel empowered and find joy in life.
I recognize the courage it takes to seek support. My intention is to be fully present with you, to stay attuned to your experience, while validating your feelings in the midst of it. My aim is to work with individuals to firstly feel safe, as you share your stories, and help you to make sense of your experiences. I deeply recognize that the therapeutic relationship is incredibly important, and I seek to always do my best to extend authenticity, attentiveness, empathy, respect, and nonjudgement, to you.
I use an integrated approach and prioritize strategies that best fit your preferences and needs. I draw from modalities such as emotion-focused therapy (EFT), attachment work, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, polyvagal theory, existentialism, psychodynamic theory, and somatic modalities, within a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework.
During initial sessions, we will work together to better understand your story, establish your goals, and find the therapeutic direction that best fits your needs. We work together to help you bring awareness to your experiences, patterns and themes through your life’s journey. Developing the skill of awareness and attunement to your body, emotions and thoughts, brings the ability to make sense of yourself, extend compassion to yourself, while creating the opportunity for transformation of your internal landscape, through a renewed sense of empowerment and reflective insights. We are able to work on healing past wounds that may have become obstacles to living your most authentic life. At the same time, we validate and extend love to the inner parts of yourself that long deeply for emotional connection and acceptance. This helps you to find balance, grounding and anchoring, leading you into a life of deeper meaning and freedom. I truly value your feedback and will continually seek your perspectives on whether you feel aligned with the approach. My approach leans into flexibility and openness, which encourages your collaboration and perspectives, guiding the direction we take.
I also offer couples therapy where my aim is to provide a container of safety for guiding couples to explore the disruptions in their emotional connection. We will work together for you to better understand your deepest needs and strengthen the bond that binds your relationship.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am in good standing with both the CRPO and CCPA. I believe in the importance of expanding my knowledge base through continuing education (professional development, trainings, workshops, courses, research), consultation, and supervision. These allow me to offer you the highest quality of integrated care, through use of evidenced-based strategies, to serve your best interests.
If you feel I might be a good fit for you, I would be honoured to support you on your journey, so that you are able to experience life in the most fulfilling and meaningful ways. I welcome you to schedule a free 20-minute consultation, where we get to learn about each other, gain a sense of connection and comfort, which are truly foundational elements of your therapy experience.
