My name is Derek Cozzi, and I'm the clinic founder. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology. Over the past seven years, I’ve helped individuals and couples foster growth, healing, and deeper self-awareness so they can live more fulfilling lives.

I bring warmth, directness, empathy, and a touch of humour to our sessions, fostering a safe space even in tough moments. Having been through my own healing process, I approach therapy with authenticity, relatability, and lived experience.

My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist stems from a deep empathy and love for people. Having navigated my own transformative healing journey, I understand the challenges of healing and the courage it requires. These experiences have shaped my passion for connecting on a deeper human level and helping others through their struggles.

Outside of Therapy
I find joy and balance outside of work through activities like long walks in the forest with my dogs, socializing with friends, playful moments, and creative pursuits such as painting and writing. My personal healing journey, which includes self-reflection and growth, enhances my empathy and informs my work.
