Why Work With Me
I am passionate about assisting clients in navigating life's challenges and finding healing. My background, which includes a career in the Canadian Armed Forces, has given me a deep understanding of resilience and the human capacity for transformation.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and self-esteem. I take an empathetic approach, tailoring my support to your specific needs and ensuring that you feel heard, valued, and empowered. We will work together to help you move from feeling overwhelmed to reclaiming your confidence and purpose.
Clients often tell me that they leave our sessions feeling calmer, more confident, and equipped with practical strategies for facing life's challenges.
My Approach to Therapy
I draw on a Humanistic approach that focuses on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. My approach includes the following therapies:
Person-Centered Therapy (PCT): Empowering self-growth through empathy and acceptance.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Supporting you in accepting your thoughts and feelings while focusing on meaningful, value-driven actions.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT): Teaching tools for emotional regulation, mindfulness, and managing stress effectively.
Solution-Focused Therapy: Identifying your strengths and building practical solutions to overcome challenges.
By combining these methods, I ensure the support you receive is personalized and impactful, helping you thrive in your journey toward emotional well-being.

My Journey to Becoming a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my personal experiences and career in the Canadian Armed Forces. Witnessing the impact of mental health struggles on friends and colleagues inspired me to pursue this work. I’m passionate about helping clients reclaim their power and overcome the challenges that may have held them back.
Seeing clients transform and achieve growth is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
Qualifications and Credentials
Here’s a snapshot of my professional background:
Education:
Baccalauréat ès Arts Multidisciplinaires
Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (in progress)
Training Program for Autism and Mental Health Providers in Ontario:
Integrated Foundational Autism and Mental Health Training
Advanced Training for Mental Health Providers
These qualifications, along with my commitment to ongoing professional development, allow me to offer compassionate, effective support tailored to your needs.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of my work as a psychotherapist, I have a variety of interests that help me stay grounded, curious, and connected to the world around me. I am passionate about exploring nature, whether it’s hiking, gardening, or simply spending time outdoors. The peace and clarity I find in nature are a big part of my own self-care routine and I often encourage others to reconnect with the natural world as a way to reduce stress and gain perspective. Overall, my interests outside of therapy reflect my commitment to a balanced, well-rounded life, and they continue to inspire and inform my work as a psychotherapist.
